Mom, I had one of my students tell me about the movie yesterday. She said it was awesome. But that doesn't mean it won't be overwhelming for your DD.
I'm up sipping my cuppa.
Fun, my day looks like yours today as well! An hour in the morning, then the last hour in the afternoon. The rest of the day the class is out for other activities. I'm going to get the rest of these report cards all finished up.
I'm hoping this morning isn't to overwhelming. I'm going to let the kids rearrange the room and see how they would put their desks. It's been an ongoing battle all year (talking, arguing, etc.) I asked my mentor teacher what he would do. He said this is a difficult class. But they've been together long enough to understand who they can behave by and who is not a good match. So I would take an hour, have a quick class discussion about the expectations, then let them arrange it. Give them the entire room. That way if someone feels they need to sit by themselves, they can. See how it goes. You may be surprised.
So, I'm trying it. Scary
What do you think of these expectations to put on the board and discuss......
...I have to be able to walk around and reach everyone easily
...sit by someone you can get along with, but won't talk to much with
...you have to be able to clearly see the boards in the front and the back
...I have to be able to access my table and desk easily
...the lockers, cupboards, and fire exit may not be blocked
...the projector table may not be moved
