Weekly Exercise Pledges July 25 - 31

Postby lovemag » Sun Jul 25, 2010 11:54 am

Come and join us in our Weekly Exercise Pledges!

It's all about giving ourselves the opportunity to meet a challenge, and, whatever happens, doing more than we would have.

Just state your exercise plans for the week then post when you've done it. You can be as specific or as vague as you like in your plans. Be realistic in your goals - if you're not used to exercising or just getting back into it start off small - remember Baby Steps! At the end of the week add up your total and see how you did!

Ha-ha, like you said, Bama! Same story, different week!

walk 1-3 miles (Make it at least 3x-- that'll be more than I did last week!)
    T-tapp 4x

Welcome to T-tapp, Lovemag! Always good to have a fellow-sufferer! Seriously, I did get so sore last week, I almost gave up after the third day. But after a day of rest, I am ready to try for the 4-day bootcamp again!

So glad to have online friends to exercise with! Thinking of reporting in to you all every day, or just seeing what you are doing. keeps me motivated to at least do SOMETHING! And to TRY to keep my pledges for the week. Works much better than just answering to myself. :)

Back with the reg 1 mile Leslie tape. Was almost late this morning - tyring to fig out where annoying beep was coming from.Disconnected everything with batteries ,finally found an old smoke detector and think that was it .

lovemag- so far the one that's been best for me is the Omron ,walking style pedometer. I like it because it's so thin, you can just put it in your pocket- I have a mini-bungee type cord that I clip it to the outside of my pocket with. Has lately not been as good at step counting, got to find directions to reset it .

Kitkat, no question that this thread has been great for all.
CC thanks for the feedback :D
Jehanne, I forgot about bootcamp. Well, I won't have time to do it today, I'll just have to skip BC this time. I do feel a little sore, which is amazing when you think of how minimal it looks.
Angelica, I like your line up. I glad I'm giving T-tapp anohter try too!
Bama, you're too funny

Lookin' good, kitkat, lovemag, cc, jehanne! :D

I walked for an hour with dd11, dd6, and Rani, & Sampson, our two big dogs. We left Rex in the pen tonight since the stray cats are in cages on the porch and he would make them nervous. The cats go in to get fixed and shots tomorrow so Rex can stay out all day and run to his heart's content.

Well, I tried exercising later in the morning since I'm tired of getting up at 5:30am to do it and it wasn't humid today. It wa ok, but think I like exercising earlier better ,
even though it's been realy hard getting up that 1/2 hr earlier since I haven't been able to get to bed earlier .

Mon- steps were 7830 plus did my 1 mile walking tape
Tues- 1 mile tape

Bama-sounds like a lovely walk
kitkat-good for you, are you enjoying this lower humidity too
lovemag- no problem. This has been one of the better ones I've had.

I haven't been exactly keeping to my pledge, but trying to make up for it in different ways.

Mon-- mini T-tapp, walked at least a mile in the mall
Tues--walked 1 1/2 miles outside; plan to do Basic T-tapp before bed.
Wed-- plan to do MILES of carpet cleaning, LOL!! (According to WW, this is worth 15 activity points! WOO-HOO!)

(If I don't collapse first. )

Lovey, Although I have been doing it for awhile, it hasn't been on anything resembling a regular basis at all. Still, I can honestly say that it HAS made a difference for me in terms of strength and especially toning. I don't have those teardrop shaped triceps yet, but T Tapp has most certainly been an asset to me, and one with which I wish to continue.

Today - :45 of yoga

WTG, everyone! Like KK said, y'all are doing great! :D

After shampooing carpets Wed., didn't do a whole lot yesterday. Took most of the day to go to the airport to get my DH... all three of his connections were delayed. :x I did do a little modified T-tapp while driving home... to keep myself awake and to keep from getting the TB sydrome...

Fri- 15 min. T-tapp, hope to get a little gardening done.
Sat- aiming for a 3-mile walk.

Thanks Angelica, that's inspiring. Just from the soreness, I'm guessing it really will work if I keep it up this time.
Jehanne - T-tapp while drivng!??????????????BTW, I have Basic T-tapp plus and the stepping dvds. What do you ladies have? I'm considering adding to my collection.

Kitkat, I love your steady running. It's good for mind and body, isn't it?
CC, still rising early! Today I hope to find the step counter, I really miss counting! :(

Haven't had a chance for much exercise this week but I did walk a lot and there is always today.

Sun - 40 min morning walk, basic plus T-tapp
Mon - Shaolin class
Tues - walked 40+ city blocks, basic plus T-tapp
Thurs - Shaolin class

WTG, everyone!

I haven't done anything since Monday. Tuesday I was chauffeuring cats back and forth, Wednesday I was nursing them back to health (mama cat wouldn't come out of her crate or eat for the longest time), Thursday I was lazy, Friday I took the kids to the park and walked around a bit but nothing much. Thanks for being here and keeping me accountable! While it may not be much exercise, just the fact that I can come here and put it in print helps me adjust my attitude and attempt to move more, park further away, etc. :)
