claire shaeffer 'chanel and that suit class'

Postby aussiejo » Sat Apr 11, 2009 3:09 am

i have enrolled in a class with renowned stitching expert Claire Shaeffer for January 2010. It is called 'Chanel and that suit'. has anyone else done her class? either that or any of her others. the classes are held in Palm Springs (which i thought was in Florida but have now found out is in California!! lucky as otherwise i would have been flying to Florida!)...

i am interested to hear what people learnt, what they thought they had concentrated on more and if they would do another class of hers. i am VERY excited.

So you are coming to the states? I wish it would have been in Florida...that is a lot closer to me than California!

 I didn't know that she taught classes. Wow.
I'm sure it will be amazing. I have two of her books and they are indispensable. And Coco Chanel is one of my idols, this class sounds like it is the result some sort of miraculous planetary alignment.

all i have now done the class. it was in Palm Springs CA and for 5 days. It was sewing heaven. Although I haven't yet made a chanel style jacket i have been inspired to finish a lot of other unfinished projects and it has taken my sewing to a whole new level.

i recommend it to any keen stitcher.
