Hi Ppl,

Our hot water problem is solved for now. We needed a new immersion heater element. Rust had gathered in it and was blocking the pipe to the tank. The plumber thinks we'll need a new tank eventually.

Af, I'm glad I'm not in your situation. The hard part I find about washing by hand is wringing out and rinsing.

Cl, we have a power shower which heats its own water. It is also over the bath, so that can be filled by the shower, which is dh's preferred method, even when we do have hot water in the taps. The hot water in the saucepans was for dish washing purposes.

Af, your image of Snoopy and Woodstock reminds me of YW Hostel days - toasting marshmallows on a fork on the electric bar heater and spreading them on Marie biscuits/cookies - top treat!

I just love summer supermama!

Gilli glad you got your hot water back. My brother has one of those shower units for when they lose power.

Hi friends! It's been a busy month. I was in Michigan for a month, and when I came home I was only here about 5 days when I had to turn around and go to Tennessee to help with some elderly relatives. I ended up making 2 trips there, and I am thankful that I was able to help. I did put about 6,000 miles on my car in 6 weeks. So, yes, I do have saddle sores

I am having a hard time getting back to my routines, plus my head is a little stuffy so I hope I'm not coming down with something! At least I did the 3 D's today. That is a good start.

I'm happy to catch up on what's been going on in the Coffee House!

Thank you, Flyer, for that wonderful message today! I saved it in Pintrest :)

We have had a lazy day here. I brought back some raspberry plants from Michigan, and we finally got them in the ground this morning, and it's a good thing because we have had a day of on again/off again showers. So DH and I took a nap and had leftovers for supper.

{{Hugs}} to all who follow!

Came home from my all day meeting and took a 5 hour nap - I guess I was exhausted. So now it is midnight and it feels more like 9.

Have 2 days of the weekend to try to catch up from our trip and first week of school.

I became the treasurer for IAACE - I feel a little overwhelmed with this decision now, must figure out where in my week that fits at all. I figure at first I need to spend a little time going through the box and binder and then it will probably take once a week or so and a treasurer's report once a month. I guess I have something to do with getting things ready for taxes and I will be part of the Audit group.

First week of school went quickly, we tested in many students. I have students starting on Monday but everyone will spend most of the time testing but I am not prepared for this week at all.

On the homefront, I must pay bills, clean out refridgerator and make grocery list, finish laundry, go to the grocery and stop by the farm.

Next weekend Prince and I will go take Ryan to his new apartment and then spend the night in Indy and do the Fringe for our yearly Anniversary trip. School starts for Prince, Ryan and Cameron a week from this coming Monday.

My office is a disaster and I have an online PC party starting Monday so I need to schedule all of the posts for the week by Sunday. Also send out my MK catalogs for Christmas and send out some checkups.

I have collected all of the bills for this pay period but I am so tired.

just stopping by briefly to say congrats and happiness to Butterfly on birth of baby granddaughter! enjoy!

went to church, started a lol, mowed my lawn. My mom was sleeping when I left - time to check on her and see if she is awake by now - since it is noon, she should be. need to flip to dryer then head to mother's.
