ran errands for my mother - left home at 445pm, returned 1100pm!
I have 2 bills to pay while at my house, then go to her house to soak her foot, give her meds, and go to bed.

WTG on filing gma

Maybe you could put it in a box and take with you and file at your mom's.

Desert Bloom great organizational tips.

Electricity is run on walls he is working on ceiling light wires. He works late and is very motivated. He is racing the clock to get as much done as possible before his classes start back up.

Today we have a pool party with work friends. Got my 42 boxes done for school. Making progress on many things.

Mornin :)

Not as busy a week with clients caught up some book keep. My sales in May and June have been the highest ever by a good amount.
I talked to the owner of the pizza shop across the road about DD working there is Sept. She basically hired her. Boss popped in last week asking to actually meet DD on Sat at 4. DD worked 2 hours and is now on the schedule Thurs- Sun every week plus 35 hours a week at the museum. She just loves the museum job, mostly cataloging and data entry, doing some tours and displays.
I have gotten some yard work done. Need rain. Ground is too hard. Been very hot, which I love, but dry.
Ready for work!

HUGS!!

Desert Bloom great organizational tips.
Thank you for your kind words, Costumelady! :D

There are definitely ways to be organized in a more detailed manner, but I find I don't do well at keeping up those methods.

I completely agree with you about using the 'touch each paper once' concept as much as possible.

I've expanded that concept to my folders (handle each folder once) when I process incoming mail. If I receive several bills, I put the bills in a pile and then put the whole pile of bills in the 'Unpaid Bills' folder all at one time (so I only touch the 'Unpaid Bills' folder once).

Wednesday - scrubbed mom's patio
Thursday - power washed it
Friday rained all day. Got paint tinted and supplies in order
Saturday - first coat of DECKOVER on her patio done. Using almost 2x what i expected.

Tonight supper at Red Lobster

Tomoorrow second coat
Monday - patch holes that are remaining that need attention
Tueday one more coat over the patched places.
Wednesday scrub the step I did a few yrs ago, and put one fresh coat on it, darker color than main level to help with depth perception difficulty of recognizing edge when stepping to same color.

I hope the weather cooperates. patching holes between coats is probable better plan, but not supposed to wait too long between coats. And too putzy a job- I might not want to do it - so that might stop the project in the middle, so that's why I arranged it like I this.
time to head back to mother's to pick her up - as soon as I get out of my paint clothes!

Hey, friends, it's been a while since I checked in. I just don't use the computer much when I'm at my girls' houses. But I'll be leaving for home either Monday or Tuesday, depending on the weather. It is always so good to see everyone, but it'll be great to get back to my own bed!

Hugs and howdys to all :D

She would love that, AF. Not a lot of jobs here. She is very committed to living in places all over the world. Hence taking Linguistics. So she can teach. Live in the culture for a year or two. Then move somewhere new.

I did get a bunch of bookkeeping done. Hot and Hazy here. Have sent a msg out to visit a pool. lol My days off become more work days at other things. Tomorrow is full of appts. I will putter at my list this morning. Hopefully relax this aft. Can always go to the lake.

Hello ppl,

We have rain here today - the first for a long time - but I heard we're back to sunshine tomorrow.

Life has been busy - Yuki needs walked for at least one hour a day - she usually gets a couple of 10-15 minute sessions as well; we haven't been able to use our central heating for a couple of months now because we need a new boiler and dh says we can't afford one; our immersion heater isn't working and the only way we can get hot water is by boiling a saucepan of water; people aren't helping as much as I would like them to. In this house the most important priority seems to be entertainment. I do get laundry and dishes done - the latter eventually - but that's about it.
