Good morning, guys !

Actually I hoped someone else would have opened a threat already, but I cannot wait on one either, so I did. Sorry for the now following whine, I'll serve cheese for it later. Our evening situation is killin me - Since I try to get up every day between 5 - 6 am, so my inner clock will adjust, by the kids bedtime I am very tired too. And then DH asks me to help with the kids, and each and every day my backspine proves the strengths of a cooked spaghetti and I end up fast asleep next to DDB or even worse, totally frustrated because she won't fall asleep. I should WORK in this time, my mammoth hasn't been touched yesterday at all and there is even more work in here. I need these nights. Last night, I woke up at 1 am, still fully dressed, got up, reloaded the computer and finished a task that was due, well actually until midnight. Late once again, the computer's in that bureau will notice and keep track and maybe I 'll get fined Again. Went back to bed like 2:30 and didn't fall asleep and here we are, up later than 6 am once more, another day running late, being tired, imbalanced and irritated. So - any motivation will be welcomed.

Upsides:
- boys played nicely together, behaved and enjoyed themselves. We'll set a date for repeat after my business trip
- I may get to reset the laundry room today, put my sorting bins into their curbs and sort all left items and be back to my regular schedule here
- I also may get to surface clean my kitchen (final) today. Deep clean is not a goal yet, the goal is company ready within 15 min

Homeoffice today, and DDB is very tired right now, I'll try to lay her to nap and hopefully be back to some babyfree action ?

Feel better than me today !

Feathers, I feel for you! My evenings are no good either. What I found in the days I was working a lot with small kids, is that evenings NEVER work! Not even a deadline. Just. Does. Not. Work! I've learned to be a morning bird instead. I would get up at 4am (I think that was about the earliest), make a pot of coffee and just get going while everybody was sleeping. Now mind you, I used to be a night owl before kids, but I had to change that, as my energy was just close to zero in the evenings. When working very early in the morning, my energy would still be zero in the evenings (you could set the clock by it - I'd basically wilt like a flower at 7pm, plus or minus a couple minutes), but the work would be done. But it's tough, no sugarcoating there! It too shall pass, though...
Frenchie, good morning! Hope your dr. apts today will be OK!

Anyway, I was nicely motivated yesterday, got the entire house cleaned... and then the kids came home. But that's more of just pick up stuff, and hopefully will not take too long. I had an early start, as the twins have a field trip today and had to be at kindergarten by 7:30 instead of 8am, so I was back earlier than usually. I worked on my taxes while DBD was toddling under the table - nowadays, she can't be left alone for even a minute, but as long as she is in the same room, she is happily exploring the world - reminder to self - need to get all computer wires back to the table holder!
Goal for today, basic maintenance, finish taxes, and empty the ironing basket! And also tackle the mending! It currently occupies a bin that was supposed to house the twins' dolls...

Hi trissie! So DBD is already a toddler? :D
Good luck with the ironing. I realize it's something I haven't done in more than a year. I keep my iron only for sewing needs, we got rid of the ironing table last spring.

Feathers good luck with the laundry tasks.

Slow progress. I made the error of weighing myself and felt a bit depressed after that.

Good morning ~ Feather ~ trissie ~ FFB ~ L.Ann ~ helian ~ kit ~ Peaches!

I'm SO done with snow! I WANT SPRING! 8)
I'm a morning person - always have been - but as I'm getting older my mojo seems to run out a lot quicker in the evening. Concentrated nutrition in juices and raw blended salads and soups seems to really help me keep more focus and energy in the later hours of the day. Currently - I'm doing 4 oz. of carrot ginger at lunch with a blended salad (quicker to get it down than eating it) - and 16 oz. veggie juice with all kinds of stuff in the late afternoon while I'm cooking supper. I add these in addition to other foods. It does take some time to do these but, for me, the energy and focus benefit make up for it. Thinking about making up batches and freeze. I'm not a napper, but has anyone else tried a nap to see if that helps? I'm running late again this morning, so I need to scoot around here and get things done.

Hi all. I am usually not an evening person either. I work a few evenings a week. Sometimes that goes ok. Sometimes I'm really tired. Nights I'm home supper gets on the table and that's about it. I suppose your kids school starts early feathers. Is that why 5 am has to be morning already? I can't imagine trying to do payroll work at home with 3 kids Lee's than 6. And stay on schedule. You will figure it out. I remember well the nights laying with both my boys and falling asleep there.

Anyways I need to move. 9 am dental apt. Then work at 1130 again.

Breakfast and lunch for ds
Empty and reload dw
School run and possibly wick stop to see teacher if time

Hey Laurlind!
kit ~ What a weird place to leave a package. You don't live in TX do you?

A funny memory --- I was pregnant with #2. I always laid down with #1 son to read with him at bedtime. He had a waterbed which made it all the more cushy. I'm reading along and I hear myself - in a cavernous sort of way -- "garble garble garble garble". I was still reading while falling asleep! I didn't know that could happen!

Daily house basics and trash eve tasks all done BUT didn't get my morning elliptical in. G is headed off to Colorado till Friday, so I hung out with him for awhile before he left. Elliptical will happen this afternoon. Time to get cleaned up.....

Warm Greetings to All! :D Motivation and good changesall around! :D

I was a night-owl (with an early start time at a corporate job) for many years.

One night, a few years, ago, I abruptly switched from night-owl to going to bed early.

Suddenly I felt much better (than I ever had), so I started guarding my evenings.

As I understand it, people used to get more sleep before the invention of indoor electricity.

DONE:

--Get Dressed.
--Prepare Coffee.
--Make Bed.
--Go outside and water roses.

NEXT:

--Prepare and eat yogurt, fruit, nuts.
--Get out next clothing outfit.
--Take a quick shower.
--Laundry: From Start to Put-Away.

AND:

--Walk down to trail and get mail from box.
--Bring in packages from porch.
--Open mail and packages and put all away.
--Paperwork tasks.

Good Morning! Technology is reconnected; Dniece+DBF will pick up the books in their room...son33 is calmer but STILL a controlling .... piece 'o work.
I had a UPS driver once leave a package on the back patio at the sun porch patio door. He thought it was logical, as something valuable. Also, one left a pckage in an unlocked car once. I had to call...

Tasks:
Get dressed
Reboot wash
Go to car for tax forms I got for son33

Brain Dump:
WHBH: Reboot: load 2/WASH:1,extra 1
Taxes: Form A=call Blue cross?/cc, bank statements for form C
Do Ti chi and/or yoga

Find out a source for valuing and selling SIL's jewelry & coins=bank down the street=find out new locations & dates!
Find some information for SIL online-I HOPE(or from friend of friend)-I MAY have found this online-we'll see-but HOW to access this is the problem?!
Son33 AND SIL both need medical cards etc/son33 needs license plates and drivers license-
===========================================================================================================================
Achievements:
Good sleep-not NEARLY enough

This week, I'm going to order a grocery delivery of enough food to last an entire month.

I already have some meat in the freezer, so maybe I can even keep the cost down to $150. :D

The most challening part is making the fresh fruits and vegetables last a whole month.

But, if I plan well, and leave the sturdiest items for eating later, it could work! :D

Smile*Lee, I've read similar things about 'before midnight' sleep being very beneficial for health, too! :D

Musicalcatlover, it sounds like maybe Dniece and DBF are making the son problem worse by volunteering to clean up after him, instead of backing you up that if he makes a mess he needs to be the one who puts everything back the way it was?

DONE:

--Get Dressed.
--Prepare Coffee.
--Make Bed.
--Go outside and water roses.
--Prepare and eat yogurt, fruit, nuts.
--Get out next clothing outfit.
--Take a quick shower.
--Walk down to trail and get mail from box.
--Bring in packages from porch.
--Open mail and packages and put all away.

NEXT:

--Laundry: From Start to Put-Away.
--Paperwork tasks.
--Write Full-Month Grocery List.

AND:

--More Unpacking Moving Boxes Project.
--Watch Sunset.
--Go to Bed Early! :D
