Morning ladies!

Last week didn't quite go to plan, I was just exhausted Wednesday, Thursday and Friday! I decided to listen to my body and take it easy. Fortunately I am in taper so the runs aren't as long now. I took the three days off and then ran Saturday and Sunday to make sure I had at least got my three runs in.

KItKat - race day is Dec 2nd

I have an appointment with an acupuncturist today to see if they can help with my insomnia, I am nervous but hopeful.

That is great about how you grew your bone density, MCL. My mom's doctor told her she was "strong as a horse" in her late 60s, when she was caring for her mother. I think she has lost some of that now, sad to say. But she is still in pretty good shape.

Doodle, hope you are sleeping better!

SmileLee, WTG on the early accomplishment! Great way to start the day! :D

I've been busy trying to finish decluttering and cleaning before my folks come for Thanksgiving. Step-count has been in the 6-7000 range; some days I have T-tapped, some not. Today I planked for a minute-- will do another minute before heading to bed.

Thanks to ALL for the encouragement and help-motivation! :D

Hello, everyone. I'm not sure I have time for another board, but I thought I would check this one out today. A year and a half ago I started on a new, and rather fluid, fitness plan. Is this a place to post goals and achievements?

Happy Belated B-day Gma!
WTG Doodle - are you excited about your race?

My new "system": I do my classes during the week. I don't do formal exercise during the weekend.
I keep the Planks and physio going. I have found that I need some "rest" - even if it's active.

Have a great week Ladies!

Wow, that's amazing Gma! Congratulations!! And you said it well:
and hoping ALL of us can keep at it in the midst of the holiday prep and shopping and baking andpartying and all the rest!
Ditto.

WTG Doodle! Yes, when is your race? I keep thinking it's a triathlon sort of race, but I'm not sure it is. -- Oh, I just scrolled back and see it is this Saturday!! I can tell you're tapering.
Yes, Grammy. This would be a great place to post your goals and achievements!
Big pats on the backs and hellos to Jehanne, kitkat, Smile Lee, and others whom I'm probably forgetting.

I did a 8 mile run yesterday. My pace has really tanked, but I felt fine. I've probably gained about 4 pounds the last 2 weeks, so that will impact my exercise. I'm still at goal weight, but I need to get back to tracking my food. And I liked being a bit under my goal.

I feel like I've pulled a muscle in my groin, a rather odd feeling. I don't know if that was due to the planking yesterday or my jog? Hmm.... Today is a rest day anyway.

My Exercise Plan for 11/27 - 12/3
M - Rest day; make sure I do stretches and back exercises
T - jog 4.5 miles flat
W - yoga class
Th - jog the arb hill x2 , 3.6 miles
F - Rest day; make sure I do stretches and back exercises
Sa. - Jog medium, 6 miles

helian ~ I gained a few pounds over the holidays also. Need to nip that in the bud before it gets out of control, which is easy to do. I also feel better a little under.

That's my plan also. Trying to stay disciplined during the week, so I can feel good about my weekend rest. What is physio?

I didn't make it to the gym today. Felt terrible when I woke up, probably from the Chinese restaurant food from yesterday. Started feeling a bit better later this afternoon, so I got a few exercises in.

Monday
• planks • push ups • squats • tricep bends • calf ex • stretches • some light upper body weights

I am just aiming to make 10K steps each day
and do SAIL (formerly bone builders) exercises once a week
(I know 2x would be better, but I can make class once and am not setting a goal to do an hr at home the other day, cz I would fail. Mom would find things for me to do...)

WTG, Everyone!! Looks like we're back on track after the holiday! :D

Gma, congratulations on getting your car in the garage!! I have been doing a lot of decluttering lately, so I can truly appreciate your success!!

I have to bite my tongue for poking fun at my pastor's not being able to plank for over half a minute. I had gotten up to where I could plank for a whole minute, and did two minutes of it in the evening. Feeling pretty proud of myself... then... Yesterday, I cleaned out the chicken coop and put fresh sawdust in. It doesn't sound like heavy work, but it is a mobile coop, high off the ground, so I was lifting and raking at almost shoulder level. All that wore me out pretty good, so when I planked last night, I barely made it to :30. And I decided that was GOOD ENOUGH!

Also got in over 7000 steps.

jeahanne ~ An attempt is good - working towards more consistency.

Finally got in my facial exercises today after a 5 day hiatus. I'm finding they really feel good.

Monday
• planks • push ups • squats • tricep bends • calf ex • stretches • some light upper body weights

Tuesday
• planks • push ups • squats • tricep bends • calf ex • stretches • some light upper body weights • facial ex
