WeEKLY EXERCISE PLEDGES - August 13 - 19

Post by kitkat » Tue Aug 15, 2017 2:00 pm

SUMMER IS A WONDERFUL TIME TO INCREASE OUR ACTIVITY AND IMPROVE OUR HEALTH

It's all about giving ourselves the opportunity to meet a challenge, and, whatever happens, doing more than we would have.
State your exercise plans for the week then post when you've done it. You can be as specific or as vague as you like in your plans. Be realistic in your goals - if you're not used to exercising or just getting back into it start off small - remember Baby Steps! At the end of the week add up your total and see how you did!

Thanks Kitkat!

My fitbit pebble doesn't charge well anymore. It's an old basic model, and my step counts weren't really that useful to me, so I think I won't replace it. Stats related to my running are actually more informative for me right now.

Weekly Plan:
M - ran 4.5 miles flat; good pace for me. I think I'm back.
T - Hot yoga class
W - run the arb hill x2; add a little extra mileage to make it a longer run.
Th. REST DAY; WW meeting?
F. Try to run 10.75 miles. I only have 4 more long runs before the half marathon, and I want to run at least one half marathon beforehand. My training is a bit iffy right now.
Sun - run 4.5 miles at park where we'll be camping in Canada?

Hi kitkat! Yes, this is more fun with company. WTG on all the steps and the classes!!
WTG with the steps and biking, CC. Yes, it counts! LOL! And planks are hard.

My hot yoga class last night wasn't too hard on my back or shoulder, so that was good. Yes - I also have an injured shoulder from helping dh move furniture to the pod for our house renovations last fall. It hasn't bothered me much, but yoga has started to aggravate it. Should probably get it checked out; I have limited range of motion in my left shoulder/upper arm. It doesn't affect running at all.

I ran the arb hill x2 this morning. I didn't add extra mileage b/c I didn't want to add extra time. My pace was good, about 30 seconds/mile faster than when I ran the arb hill last week. And that's in spite of feeling pretty tired this morning.

You all are inspiring!

I did get power plate in on Friday, but that was it. Hoping for a more productive week coming up.
