WEEKLY PLEDGES February 20th - 25th, 2017
It's all about giving ourselves the opportunity to meet a challenge, and, whatever happens, doing more than we would have.
State your exercise plans for the week then post when you've done it. You can be as specific or as vague as you like in your plans. Be realistic in your goals - if you're not used to exercising or just getting back into it start off small - remember Baby Steps! At the end of the week add up your total and see how you did!

finally, reached 10k again. was in hospital for 3 nights, that kind of screwed up my activity. But when I started feeling better, I was able to walk the halls for 5000 steps the night before discharge. (GI/ abdominal pain issues. much better now, PTL) Felt great Saturday after discharge, and made 8000. Then Sun and Monday I crashed! Can't crash any more. My mom doesn't do well on her own when I crash.

Gma (((((((())))))))) - take it slowly... We'll be here.
The worst thing is to be ill/under the weather when you are a caretaker.

Boy, Gma, that does sound rough! Glad you are feeling better. :D

Hope your cold is better, Kitkat. Looks like you are still doing great in spite of it.

I thought I was doing great Mon. Got up early to go walking. Felt good all day, and my feet never hurt. (Proper shoes help!) But Tues morn, I started feeling poorly. Came down with the flu. It doesn't sound as bad as your trouble, Gma, but it was enough to slow me down! :(

Mon: Walking :35, T-tapp, barn work, 8200 steps
Tues: Not mucha nothing, but made 4500 steps
Wed: a bit of T-tapp, barn work, 4000 steps

Gma ~ girl ~ you are committed! Even in the hospital? egg!

jehanne ~ sorry you've got the nasty bug! hope it's short lived!
You, too, kit!

After all these decades, I'm going to try a different approach to cardio.
3 - 5 rounds of 15 minutes dispersed throughout the day. I should be
able to get in 3 today - at least.

Today's todo's:
:15 elliptical done
gym: weights, power plate, :15 cardio before - :15 after

okies -- off to execute!

I needed some activity in the hospital! Just walked the halls. did some, then a friend who was on another wing saw me and wanted a visit, so I sat and listened to her for an hour. Then i walked a little more. 5000 isn't very much.
Walked again last night. Love the indoor track we have in our town!
The Saturday steps were "mother rescue" She was taking her Cmas decor down outside and shouldnot be doing that alone. Sunday I was up and down my ladder putting my decorations up into my garage loft.
made 10k again yesterday :-) Sometime soon I hope to see results on the scale!

5000 seems like a lot --- when you're IN the HOSpital! lol! I'm impressed!

Workout done! I think I'm finally finding a rhythm in what works for me.
The lunge ups were a bit more cardio than I planned, so I skipped the :15
post-workout treadmill. On the way home, I pass a park -- so I stopped and
did a :15 lap there! woohoo! I could use the sunshine - so double thumbs up!
Wonder if I can get one more :15 cardio in today.

not going to make 10k today. only did short walk at city track. time constraint and still feeling like I am recovering from hospitalization. but made 8000.
Tomorrow will have 4 hrs in car, 2 hrs sitting watching ds get his Black Belt. So probaly won't make the 10k tomorrow either. Unless I get up REALLY EARLY (which we all know I won't be doing!)

Gma, not a bad thing. Give yourself time to recover. ((hugs)) :)

SmileLee, you're doing great! I love it when I can stop by a park to walk for awhile on a lovely day. Makes a nice change! :D

Kitkat, what are you doing? I hope your cold didn't take you down. :(

Thurs: On the road, in meeting, but did barn work when we got home. 5000 steps
Fri: barn work, crunches, 7000 steps
Sat: On the road again, went to a wedding; 5000 steps

Hi my friends:) You are all doing great!!!

Not a good week exercise-wise for me:
45,000 steps in a week ... (one day I did not wear my Fitbit)
Cold is still here - along with a cough. It is the latter that is keeping me from more elaborate workouts.

Hello All,

Well, although I started this thread, I realise that I didn’t even report once *hangs head in shame* I must do better.

So to summarise, here are my step counts of last week:

Monday: 7.4k steps and 60 minutes intense fitness class
Tuesday: 12.1k steps
Wednesday: 8.7k steps
Thursday: 8.4k steps
Friday: 6.4k steps
Saturday: 8.9k steps and 45 minutes rehab exercise class, 10 min bike, 10 min on the equipent
Sunday: sweet nothing at all.

Hope you are all feeling better by now.
