I've been up since around 5 AM. Drinking coffee and reading FB, email, and Sparkpeople. Heavy rain is due in today coming from off that subtropical storm in the gulf. The forecast is showing another week of rain. I'm on a high hill so I'm not worried about me but with all the rain we've already had I'm sure it's going to cause problems for others. We don't have any rivers but we have creeks and lakes and lots of low areas. Some apartment areas get flooded here so that's not good for them. I know of one subdivision that has a very low entrance and they get trapped when it floods. Our kitchen garbage can was getting close to full so I took that out this morning before the rain starts. We have food so we're not going out today.

Thank you Atlanticflyer. The coast is where the most damage will occur. Of course, I hope people have sense enough to stay home out of the heavy rain here today. It's already raining some this morning.

I didn't cook yesterday except for breakfast since we had to do our shopping. I have a 5-pound bone-in pork shoulder roast in my IP that I will shred when it's done. I'm going to cook some black beans and brown rice too.

Good afternoon, SHEworld. I did my church things this morning, then stopped by the grocery (3rd day in a row, oh, my!), as I start a 5-week challenge tomorrow which includes counting and logging my food. I needed a few more things. I'm also heading back out after I eat to get a couple of specialty items my grocery didn't have.

Postponing my additional outing as it is now pouring rain. It should pass soon. Maybe I'll nap first.

We haven't had heavy rain yet but it looks terrible outside. It's been raining gently most of the day.

Grammybug, Sparkpeople has food & exercise trackers and it's free to use.

We're going to have leftovers for tomorrow so I shouldn't have to cook.

Fixed Mr. Guy a turkey dinner so he is very happy now. Strawberry Pie with whipped topping for dessert later.

It gets harder and harder for me to cook as I used to. I'm not happy about it and I know he isn't but he takes it in stride and still gives me compliments. It's a good thing he does or he would be ordering Meals on Wheels. My neighbor tells me they are terrible!

Really need to get over to W algreens to hit the Areds2 sale for him. Buy one and get second for half price. Plus he just received a $7.00 coupon in the mail the other day. Think I will be waiting until tomorrow after we go for breakfast. "We shall see." (That is what my least favorite president is always saying. ) UGH!

Have a good rest of the day. :)

Pandora, I'm using MyFitnessPal. It's very handy. SparkPeople is good, too, but my group is using the other.

I made my trip out to two stores to find specific items, neither of which I found. ::sigh::
