Oops, it doesn't appear to have worked. What else am I supposed to do, apart from inserting the Url?

I am still working on that phone cover. I wish I had more time to knit.

I tried imgbb, but put nigilli@aol.co.uk instead of nigilli@aim.com and the activation email didn't come, although there was a message saying that it had been sent. I tried starting over again, but just got the same message saying that an activation email had been sent. Will wait a couple of days, then try again.

I finished the phone cover and am now working on a small doll's dress for the charity shop and a tea cosy, the pattern for which is from a very old and tattered pattern booklet from my childhood.

Well, I managed to get an account on imgbb, so let's see what happens.

Image

Found a dishcloth I'd started and had forgotten about, so am continuing with that and also working on a doll's jumper for a small doll, based on another doll's jumper pattern, which was based on the fish-and-chip baby jumper pattern. Also the tea cosy pattern from my ancient book of patterns from my childhood.

okay I am going to stop shopping and start finishing. I have 2 quilting projects/ 4 dresses/ 2 sweaters and 3 blankets on the go. One blanket will take the year to complete so it doesn't count. I am just a month and a half behind on it! I will pick one thing (love rolling the dice) and finish it then move on to the next. Wish me luck.

Week July 1 - 7
9. - blanket #1

TO FINISH
1. quilt #1
2. quilt #2
3. dress #1
4. dress #2
5. dress #3
6. dress #4
7. sweater #1
8. sweter #2
9. blanket #1
10. blanket #2
11. blanket #3 (year long project)

I finished the quilt! The colors came out darker than they are. The dark square is actually a pretty dark blue. The maroon actually has gold & violins on it.

Well done, MCL! It's annoying when the photo doesn't show the finished article in its true colours, but no doubt it is beautiful.

I tried with IMGBB to post an image, but failed. I thought I'd tried with Upload, but don't see the result - maybe I just signed up for an account.

Still knitting the tea cosy and the doll's dress plus about 3 dish cloths.

Gilli, I don't know anything about posting personal photos, but I do post a lot of images.... maybe this will help.

When I am on the page with the picture I want to post, I hover the mouse pointer over the picture, and then right click the mouse. Then a menu pops up and I click on Copy Image Location.

Then, on the posting page at the forum I click on the Image button and then make sure the mouse cursor is in between the 2 middle bracets.

Then I go to the menu at the top of the computer and click on Paste, and a string of letters and numbers suddenly appears.

Usually, before I submit the post, I use the Preview button (underneath the area to type the post) to verify the picture is showing in the post, and then I scroll down and push the submit button.

Hope this helps, and thank you for all your efforts to post pictures of your projects! :D

Thanks Desert Bloom. Your way doesn't work for me either. I think it's maybe just for images in the public domain on the internet. I have tried imgbb again to no avail. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'll try Upload again with my iPad because that where most of my images are.

Almost finished one side of the tea cosy. The doll's jumper is knit up the front to the neck and then back down the other side. The neck is done by casting off stitches at the front and then casting them on again at the back. I've done that but the jumper is not fitting over the neck, so I'll probably have to cast off a couple more stitches.

The settings are confusing, with needing to use a pull down to use (the middle one?) I think.
The hNCmBD is the setting you need to use of the choices...
I've been doing hemming and such as my machine threw parts at me and ad to stay in the machine doctor for a day or two.

Also working trying to conquer the weeds-hot, rain, rain, hot...MANY WEEDS!

I've got my machine back and just 2 thread loops/small buttons on sweaters (WHO THINKS IT"S good to manufacture sweaters WITHOUT BUTTONS?!)
I'm going to buy my DF's departed DM's Bernina machine for extra. It's older, but a Swiss made machine, & all metal! Price is right, too!

Hi, ALL! I'm going thru a NIGHTMARE with the in-laws who NEED to leave, and have gotten aggressive enough to hurt my wrists repeatedly.
We're hiring a lawyer next. Yes, police reports, but judge didn't help.
I need to clean my files first, but I ended up leaving the house for 5 days for safety as hubby had to go out of town.
HOPE to get back to quilting by next month.

HURRAY! Thanks to a wonderful chiropractor, my wrist is getting better. Of course, I'm on visit #4 plus intensive therapy for it.
I have left the house for an extended stay hotel (hubby's paying for a week.) I didn't feel safe anymore, and HUBBY'S psychologist suggested I leave as she didn't like the way I lookded.
:D I DID get J's quilt cut out. Of course, she's flying to college tomorrow. Well, I STARTED it. She'll be back at Christmas.

Sorry to hear you’re having so much trouble, Mcl. I hope the situation gets sorted soon.

I finished knitting the doll’s dress, but it’s rather wide at the neck now, as in slipping off the doll’s shoulders. Maybe it'll improve when I sew it up, or maybe I’ll put in a stitch or two at the neck, or maybe I’ll frog to the neck and do from there again. I think I’ll ask my fellow volunteers at the charity shop. It’s destined for there or a Christmas shoe box.

I’ve almost finished the first side of the tea cosy and the dish cloths are at various stages, but none are anywhere near finished. I made a start on a mug warmer, but that’s about as far as I’ve got.
