So pleased with all that I got done last week. I never realized how much I disliked the colour of that sweater. Finally motivated to keep going. I have an ambitious list for this week!

HI, All. I didn't work on the quilt this weekend, BUT I painted the bathroom and powder room cabinets/rearranged contents of bathroom vanity/made curtains for powder room window, so a WIN!
I am adding to my project list. :lol:

Projects:
Put new zipper in old parka
Christmas presents: 3 pillow case borders on bought pillow cases- for friends visiting in Australia
Little coin purse for another friend
"N"'s quilt-Sew together quilt top Rows: 23,22,21,20,19,18,17,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1
Work on Summer weight crochet sweater for ME-
"Easy?" knit sweater-restarted AGAIN!-Work on this! It's knit from top down=on row 8 or 9 I think... increases are a bit confusing....

Learn how to use my new serger and fix those projects for hubby
Got SIL in to doctor/out of hospital/back with meds
Tax figures accumulated for accountant
Stenciled the bathroom cabinet
Took hubby on round of appointments to figure out if he needed immediate surgery...SIGH
Took off the wallpaper on half walls in tiny powder room so DNiece can paint in there sometime ..SHE DID. Her DBF got new counters(laminate) in bathroom & powder room
Went to the wedding of the daughter of a college friend out of state(actually in different time zone, but only 5 hours away) :?
End of year recitals Accomplished(one of which I type programs and do a LOT of work!)
LOTS of plants planted as hubby spent $1,000 for HUGE trees to block off view as he's now paranoid- gravel got dumped on herb bed so I redid that, and every year I add perennials
Even more plants planted for hubby
Made oriental-type garden at the end of the garden as gravel & plants needed a theme
Paint an old glider for the patio-guess I'm the 3rd neighbor that has worked on this... :lol:
Replanted the foundation plantings/planted 2 fruit trees
Managed dto get house refinanced
Got SIL in for needed medical tests

This week is going slow. Maybe by the end of the weekend I will get something finished. I am going to push to finish the socks - then the cardigan. That will put me one over my goal for knitting this year. Hopefully if I can get motivated I should have the number of sewing items finished that I wanted to do this year as well. Working on cleaning up the sewing room so I will be organized for next year. My Goal will again be not to buy anything until everything is used up. I didn't accomplish that this year but there is always another year!

MCL you always accomplish so much - send the energy this way please.

Nannika you are up for another in-house! I need it. Question for you - how do you draw a line through what you have finished?

Rearranged a good portion of the basement-won't be needed before New Year undoubtedly, but hubby throwing fits.... :roll:
Finished trimming the pillow cases/assembled the little gifts/dropped off with Dad of the Nice Family to ship to Australia where Mon+ 2 kids are until March

I finally got the little "bauble clasp purse" cut out. IT took ~ 15 minutes. WHY did it take me 2 days to get to it?!!!

Congratulations Loki on another finish! You've been very productive this year. WTG! :D

All the cross stitches are done on Christmas stories. Today I will start on the backstitches.... Finally some progess is being made. YAY! :D

Today:
- Backstitch on Christmas Stories for 30 min
- Take picture of progress (week 50)/publish on website
- Buy cast iron hangers for Christmas Stories
- Christmas prep - bake 1 batch of cookies/wrap Christmas gifts
- Mail Christmas cards
- Make/write birthday card for friend

WOW, LADIES! MUCH progress! Congrats! Thanks for inspiring me!
Okay. Music is learned, house is decorated, presents wrapped/under tree. DF has been called that her present will be a bit late. I baked several batches of gingerbread mini bunt cakes that were a big hit.

Goals for this weekend:
Play for 10AM and 10PM Christmas Eve Services
Change sheets/1 load wash//clean cat boxes
Glue claps on little purses/wrap DF's gifts ready to mail
Pay one bill

I SHOULD have been in bed QUITE a while ago. Grabbing a quick shower, then to bed!

I need to write my "Christmas letter" and send out the 5 or so cards in response to what I received. Trying to get THAT done for New Year's/thank you notes as well.

"Easy?" knit sweater-restarted AGAIN!-Work on this! It's knit from top down=on row 8 or 9 I think... increases are a bit confusing....

Christmas tree mat
Learn how to use my new serger and fix those projects for hubby
Got SIL in to doctor/out of hospital/back with meds
Tax figures accumulated for accountant
Stenciled the bathroom cabinet
Took hubby on round of appointments to figure out if he needed immediate surgery...SIGH
Took off the wallpaper on half walls in tiny powder room so DNiece can paint in there sometime ..SHE DID. Her DBF got new counters(laminate) in bathroom & powder room
Went to the wedding of the daughter of a college friend out of state(actually in different time zone, but only 5 hours away) :?
End of year recitals Accomplished(one of which I type programs and do a LOT of work!)
LOTS of plants planted as hubby spent $1,000 for HUGE trees to block off view as he's now paranoid- gravel got dumped on herb bed so I redid that, and every year I add perennials
Even more plants planted for hubby
Made oriental-type garden at the end of the garden as gravel & plants needed a theme
Paint an old glider for the patio-guess I'm the 3rd neighbor that has worked on this... :lol:
Replanted the foundation plantings/planted 2 fruit trees
Managed to get house refinanced
Got SIL in for needed medical tests
I painted the bathroom and powder room cabinets/rearranged contents of bathroom vanity/made curtains for powder room window
Put new zipper in old parka
Christmas presents: 3 pillow case borders on bought pillow cases- for friends visiting in Australia
Rearranged a good portion of the basement-won't be needed before New Year undoubtedly, but hubby throwing fits.... :roll:
Finished trimming the pillow cases/assembled the little gifts/dropped off with Dad of the Nice Family to ship to Australia where Mon+ 2 kids are until March[/quote]

Happy New Years MCL and Nannika. New year and new goals!

Good luck with the quilting class MCL. That is sometimes the best way to finish a project. No interruptions. Good luck. Keep us posted on how it is going.

Today I am organizing everything I have to finish and start etc. Hopefully 1 project will be completed for 2018!

Christmas stories is finished. I will start new projects this year, however I will not focus on finishing them. My goal for this year is to create and just enjoy whatever I choose to do. :D

Loki, it was more of a "sew in,' with lots of good food, good people, and FUN. That made up for the brutal wind-chills and -8F temps, even tho the church in which it was held was CHILLY!
My MAIN goal for 2018 is to get into the hand doctor(appointment 1/26) and figure out WHY my hands hurt so much of the time and what can help! :roll: Quilting doesn't hurt them, nor usually my instrument, but the twisting/lifting of daily life is PAINFUL!

Well done to you lot for all those completed projects - your hard work has been rewarded!

I haven’t been doing as much knitting since Yuki arrived. I ended up pinning my little tree to my coat - less fiddly than trying to attach it to the Christmas tree. I need to join a photo hosting site before posting a photo. The slippers are waiting to be sewn up. The phone cover I was knitting for ds#3 is on hold as the yarn is tangled with several other balls of yarn. One other item otn is a dishcloth (I think). I came across the pattern in my hand writing a while back, but thought there was a page missing, then recently realized I hadn’t checked the back of one of the pages. So Happy Bunny is now working on the pattern, mainly because she’s curious to see how it turns out!

Happy New Year, with lots of crafting, especially knitting!
