Since I'm a musician, that comes first, and sometimes my hands/wrists are SORE afterwards! :roll:

Done: 15 on knitting, 20 on sewing. Felt really good to finally sew, haven't had brains for it in a looong while!

A little more progress, DESPITE needing to take SIL and hubby to appointments, and major decluttering and finding files for house refinancing. :roll:

Projects:
"N"'s quilt-Sew together quilt top Rows:34,33,32,31,30,29,28,27,26,25,24,23,22,21,20,19,18,17,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1
Work on Summer weight crochet sweater for ME-
"Easy?" knit sweater-restarted AGAIN!-Work on this! It's knit from top down=on row 8 or 9 I think... increases are a bit confusing....
Make a simple curtain for powder room from shower curtain-washed the old one and put it up, and painted the covers of the duct covers

Christmas tree mat
Learn how to use my new serger and fix those projects for hubby
Got SIL in to doctor/out of hospital/back with meds
Tax figures accumulated for accountant
Stenciled the bathroom cabinet
Took hubby on round of appointments to figure out if he needed immediate surgery...SIGH
Took off the wallpaper on half walls in tiny powder room so DNiece can paint in there sometime ..SHE DID. Her DBF got new counters(laminate) in bathroom & powder room
Went to the wedding of the daughter of a college friend out of state(actually in different time zone, but only 5 hours away) :?
End of year recitals Accomplished(one of which I type programs and do a LOT of work!)
LOTS of plants planted as hubby spent $1,000 for HUGE trees to block off view as he's now paranoid- gravel got dumped on herb bed so I redid that, and every year I add perennials
Even more plants planted for hubby
Made oriental-type garden at the end of the garden as gravel & plants needed a theme
Paint an old glider for the patio-guess I'm the 3rd neighbor that has worked on this... :lol:
Replanted the foundation plantings/planted 2 fruit trees

I have finally made some progress on my DNephew's advent calendar. :D My goal is to have Christmas stories mostly finished by the end of October. To keep me motivated my intention is to post a progress report on my website each Friday. :wink:

Hi Nannika and MCL you two keep me motivated. Maybe if I go back to Nannika's method I will get it done. Here goes!

NOW SIL has to go to get tests as losing 2 lbs a week. Son33 is moving to N.California as he's sick of LA and can't find work....ON it goes...

Hi Nannika and MCL
I need to start a list to accomplish by birthdays and Christmas. I have 4 birthdays before Christmas to finish things by so maybe I will start on that list first! Only two birthday gifts to finish - actually one I haven't even started yet!

MCL we should challenge each other to just finish one row of a quilt a week. We may both eventually finish them!

Nannika as usual your energy levels amaze me.

OH wait! SON33 MIGHT be moving back home from CA! Hubby is going to make him pay rent comparable to an apartment TO ME if he does move in. Thinking he won't. He's being a pain in the posterior! He also would have to take back all of x-gf/fiancee's furniture AND 2 cats. He's acquired a big dog. HOW would THAT work?! He's been awfully rude and irresponsible, so I'm NOT looking happily at the plan.

OK, Loki. That's my goal, too! I did one more row this week; I'd LOVE to try for TWO! I'm officially 25% done with the twin size top. :roll:

Nanika, Me TOO! Son33 emotionally blackmailed me for some $ I couldn't afford, then didn't even say thanks. I'm hoping he doesn't come back at all, or just to drop off stuff (his x-gf lives 2hrs away) and leave.
I called him out on the emotional blackmailing, but it only stopped for a bit. :roll: He's manipulative and mean and IT HAS TO STOP! :(

(((MCL))) - How dare he treat you this way?! He is a grown man, and should be able to take care of himself by now. Unfortunately your son reminds me of my father's parents. They are also manipulative and mean. Nothing dad does are ever good enough for them. They always want more, more and more. Thank you is not in their vocabulary, however "GIVE ME" is. I do know and understand what you are going through. I'll continue to pray for you, but one day you have to put your foot down. Enough is enough. You also have your own life to live, and your own needs to meet. Take care, my friend.

Nannika, WHAT MAY help is that I think hubby now sees this, finally. I've tried not to give him $ AT all, as he is still on our insurance and cell phone. Problem is: hubby has short term memory losses.. :(
SOn33 is apparently staying out there, but moving to a (relatively) cheaper area, and now has a room-mate.
I'm praying he soon finds his 'niche' and can support himself, and start paying us back.

Hi Nannika and MCL I am thinking I need an In-House - not this week though - I have one going into the hospital to get all the metal out of her broken legs! and then 2 more birthdays on the weekend! - 2 weeks off before a couple more! This is the time of year for birthdays in this house. So I am thinking next weekend November 18 and 19. Want to join me! We seemed to accomplish a lot on those.

Loki - I love our In-House, and I definitely need one. Next weekend is kind of tricky, since it is a birthday weekend. However, how about Fri 17th and half day on Sat 18th? :D

Nannika sounds good to me. Marked it off on my calendar. A day and a half is better than none. i am really working at finishing projects this month. Making my lists for the 17th!

MCL try and join us lets get that quilt done!

I finished the tiny Christmas tree decoration, apart from adding something to it so that it can be hung on the tree. Also finished the knitting part of a pair of slippers, but am delaying sewing them up, partly because life is busy right now and partly because our puppy would be too interested in them lol.

I have a mobile phone cover on the needles, but at the moment the yarn is badly tangled, along several other balls of yarn, so I will need to get that sorted. I was hoping to bring it with me when dh and I go on vacation later on today, but I am not sure I will get it untangled.

Lots of projects I would love to get started on, but just don’t have the time.
