No, Gilli, it takes me FOREVER to find time to craft. On a positive note, my wrists/thumbs are better!
OKAY. Got the strips sewn together, then to cut apart 2 2.5" and sew back into blocks.

YEAH. Back in ~ 2 weeks later, I've FINALLY gotten 2 hours of work cutting in.
Cut strips across @ 2.5; hoping I've cut enough.
Next: sew these back together for block B.

Hi, All. Gee, it's only been a week. I'm on my 2nd session of this step.
I'm sewing the strips for block B. I need to sew together 112 807050[/s[s]]30 15more blocks

Projects:
"N"'s quilt-started sewing the strips for block B
Paint an old glider for the patio-guess I'm the 3rd neighbor that has worked on this...
Work on Summer weight crochet sweater for ME-
"Easy?" knit sweater-restarted AGAIN!-Work on this! It's knit from top down=on row 8 or 9 I think... increases are a bit confusing....
Make a simple curtain for powder room from shower curtain-washed the old one and put it up, and painted the covers of the duct covers
===================================
Done in 2017:
Christmas tree mat
Learn how to use my new serger and fix those projects for hubby
Got SIL in to doctor/out of hospital/back with meds
Tax figures accumulated for accountant
Stenciled the bathroom cabinet
Took hubby on round of appointments to figure out if he needed immediate surgery...SIGH
Took off the wallpaper on half walls in tiny powder room so DNiece can paint in there sometime ..SHE DID. Her DBF got new counters(laminate) in bathroom & powder room
Went to the wedding of the daughter of a college friend out of state(actually in different time zone, but only 5 hours away) :?
End of year recitals Accomplished(one of which I type programs and do a LOT of work!)
LOTS of plants planted as hubby spent $1,000 for HUGE trees to block off view as he's now paranoid- gravel got dumped on herb bed so I redid that, and every year I add perennials
Even more plants planted for hubby

That's great news about your wrists/thumbs, Mcl. You sound like you're on a roll now.

My little Christmas tree decoration is almost complete - just a titchy stem to attach. Wow, 'titchy' is actually a word lol.

Great Job, Nannika! EXCELLENT perseverance! :D
I had to look up that word, Gilli! I sometimes feel like I am moving thru this project like a turtle, but, "slow and steady wins the race!"
If it takes me ~ an hour to stitch and press 10 squares, I guess I have 5 more hours left. I did a LOT of weeding and shoveling/carting/applying mulch from the tree hubby had taken down, so I'm a bit sore, and feel it even in my hands tonight. SIGH.

Hello dear friends!
I just read your blog, Nannika. Thank you for the inspiring account of your housekeeping (matboden) and how you reduce food waste. The bit about being thankful for what was accomplished during the day really went directly to my heart. ( i can tend to focus too much on what remains to do).
And wow, what a lot of wonderful needlework projects!

I recently took up knitting again. ( havent knitted since my teens) So far i have made 1 pair of socks. One pair of mittens and two pairs of socks under way. Got more yarn today...i hope this is not a slippery slope...i already have a large stash of fabric. I can't build one of yarn as well!
Today i talked to a lady who might let me rent an atelier one day a week. Fingers crossed, i would really love to have a space for crafts!

Happy Sunday, Ladies!

Thank you so much for your kind comments MCL and Lisa-Christina!

Lisa-Christina - Your life will change for the better if you learn to celebrate your every achievement, instead of focusing on what's left on your list. I have been on my gratitude journey since 2014, and it has changed my life greatly. By purposefully being grateful for what I have, who I am, and what I can and have done; slow and steady my thinking and life has changed for the better. I purposefully approach life and situations in a more uplifting manner. WTG on your knitting achievements! I do hope you get the atelier once a week. That is an awesome opportunity! Let us know how it goes.

I have two finishes this week - my Easter table runner and a small kit by Permin. I worked on and finished the latter yesterday in the company of friends. One of my friends wanted to learn cross stitching, so I bought two small kits for kids - one for her and one for me. I find it easier to show and tell.

Hi again!
Just popped in to say i have worked for 30 mins on knitting and almost as much on 19 th c Bloomer costume. ( before i was sidetracked... :D )

Mcl: i plan to do sewing of the kind that demands more space, cutting and crinoline related stuff. I might also have friends over for sewing groups.(provided the lady picks me and that i can afford the rent. )

Nannika: well done on passing your knowledge on to the younger generation!

See you all later!

Continued knitting and sewing. Sock finished, now i just need to secure all the loose ends. Top part of Bloomer pants stitched together. A bit more hand sewing needs to be done before i can stitch the pant legs together. That will have to wait, though, the decent bedtime has arrived! Good night, all!

So. I went away last weekend, supposedly for 2 nights, to visit my college friend for her birthday. I left Saturday afternoon, and Monday was a holiday, and our anniversary, so I was coming back early that day.
Hubby called and said he'd had M, DNiece's DBF cut down ALL THE foundation plants around the house. :x   Then, he called me and said he was going to toss out my exercise bike. AH no you aren't.
I went home and divided up plants, transplanted, etc ALL Labor Day Monday. It looks better after 8-10 hours work. SIGH

===================================
Made oriental-type garden at the end of the garden as gravel & plants needed a theme
Paint an old glider for the patio-guess I'm the 3rd neighbor that has worked on this...

OKAY. Got the strips sewn together, then to cut apart 2 2.5" and sew back into blocks.

Glad to hear your wrists/thumbs are better - that must make crafting so much easier!
