I don't mind at all.. We can do this, Loki! :D

For months my inner brat has directed my life. This has to stop! When I woke up this morning, I decided to practice self-discipline. I jumped out of bed, without even thinking about hitting the snooze button. To my greatest surprise; I started the morning decluttering for 10 minutes. I found stuff to take to the recycling center, and some items could be tossed in my garbage can. I consider this a successful morning.

Hi, Ladies! LONG time no see!
Well, hubby's still got back/neck issues, but it wasn't emergency surgery time, but ANOTHER pill was added.
Loki, my birthday was May 18th; I figured I celebrated it by going out of town for the DF'S daughter's wedding. At least THAT WAY I got cake...
The sweater is a simple cardigan(one button which I'm ignoring)with variegated yarn. The pattern is worked top down, and the yarn is pretty but a PAIN. I can't find the yarn wrapper ATM...
Dniece+DBF have done a lot of work around here, but for awhile the projects kept multiplying....
My duet partner and I are preforming on Friday, so music needed to be learned for that too...

Projects:
"N"'s quilt-started sewing the strips for block A
Do some needed things around the house-HA, ha, HA. My house is still recovering from drywall dust, and many things are in crazy places for the construction. I DID find my Spring/Summer clothes, cleaned up the computer/sewing room and got "the kids" to help me rearrange the furniture in LR/DR back to the way I wanted it(hubby wanted something different, THEN it was too dark with the furniture blocking teh light
Work on Summer weight crochet sweater for ME-
"Easy?" knit sweater-restarted AGAIN!-Work on this! It's knit from top down=on row 8 or 9 I think... increases are a bit confusing....
Make a simple curtain for powder room from shower curtain
===================================
Done in 2017:
Christmas tree mat
Learn how to use my new serger and fix those projects for hubby
Got SIL in to doctor/out of hospital/back with meds
Tax figures accumulated for accountant
Stenciled the bathroom cabinet
Took hubby on round of appointments to figure out if he needed immediate surgery...SIGH
Took off the wallpaper on half walls in tiny powder room so DNiece can paint in there sometime ..SHE DID. Her DBF got new counters(laminate) in bathroom & powder room
Went to the wedding of the daughter of a college friend out of state(actually in different time zone, but only 5 hours away) :?
End of year recitals Accomplished(one of which I type programs and do a LOT of work!)
LOTS of plants planted as hubby spent $1,000 for HUGE trees to block off view as he's now paranoid- gravel got dumped on herb bed so I redid that, and every year I add perennials

This week has been a waste. I sliced my finger open and made it impossible to accomplish anything.

Anyone up for an in-house crafting weekend. I need to try and finish at last one thing.

MCL I have another quilt up on the wall trying to figure out borders for it. Maybe that will be my goal for the week end - I can sew I don't need my finger for that!

Gili I see you posted on the knitting page!

Have a great day everyone.

YIKES,Loki! THAT'S NO FUN! :(
My sweater yarn is a blue/green variegated Sophia tweed by Plymouth yarn. :)
in house weekend?! Great! I need the motivation.
My goal is to finish the rest of the strips sewn together for N's quilt. I need the motivation, but it's going to be an unseasonable mid 90'sF, so a great weekend for crafting. :? Oh. I need to cut more strips first.

Loki, how did you do with the in house weekend?! Or was your finger too sore?!
My goal is to finish the rest of the strips sewn together for N's quilt. This week is to be an unseasonable mid 90'sF,(97F today).
I GOT the strips cut out and 2 sets of strips cut out.

Going to try to get more done tonight1

Hi MCL
I didn't accomplish much. It is amazing how much one finger that is injured gets in the way! Hopefully this weekend more can get done. I got one quilt cut out - figured out the border for a second and started a new sweater.

This week hopefully
- put border on quilt / load and quilt / bind
-finish front of new sweater

Well done everyone -keep up the good work!

Thank you for your encouraging words, Nannika.
Loki, I like to post in the other knitting thread - any thread to do with knitting, in fact. Did you know that in Northern Ireland-speak 'How's it goin'?' usually means, 'How are you?'. I am well and my knitting is going slowly.
One of my sisters gave me a booklet of patterns designed for children to knit. Our mother had bought if for us when we were kids - I think I was about 10 and she about 8. It brought back some happy memories. I'm planning to knit a set of dolls' clothes from it. My mother didn't trust us with knitting anything more complicated than garter stitch or stockinette, so this time round I plan to knit the actual patterns.

We have the same phrase in the Midwest US, but I'd never thought to apply it to my crafts.
i have close to 1/2 of the first set of blocks cut, but as you say, 'it's going slowly.'

Yay you! You've probably got well on with the project by now. I've just been slow to catch up with posts.

I finished knitting the two sides of my tiny Christmas tree and have been sewing them up. When that's done I'll go back to my slipper, which I have been neglecting lately.
