Cooking smells!

Post by rural_pickle » Thu Jun 25, 2015 1:20 pm

Hope this is the right place to post this.

I live in a rather small condo that has two sliding doors at the end of it. That means terrible ventilation. We do have a vent for the stove, but it doesn't do the greatest job.

Last night I cooked dinner and thought I had abolished the smell. I woke up at 1:00 am and the entire place reeked of what I had cooked. The windows were open as well, but no means of bringing in fresh air and expelling stale smelly air.

I have an essential oil diffuser and incense sticks. I'm not fussy over candles and air fresheners full of chemicals. How do I move fresh air into my place? Can it be done with a simple fan?

A fan will do a lot to move the air around.

You can also put a small saucepan on the stove with aromatics. Lemon peels, cinnamon sticks, cloves, etc.

Put your furnace on fan only to run continuously(for a bit), and use your other fan, in the window if possible.
