The Best way to store FRESH Corn? HELP?!

Post by momnkids9781 » Thu Apr 14, 2011 1:09 am

I am about to stock up on unhusk corn....any tips on the best way to freeze it? Should I de-husk it first and then just toss into a freezer safe baggy? Also when it comes time to cook should I boil and THEN grill?

I've always heard you need to blanch it before freezing, it stops the starch from progressing and getting tough...something like that. ;) I've only frozen creamed corn so can't help with the corn on the cob that is still in the husk.

Here's my go to site on putting up fresh foods... http://www.pickyourown.org/freezingcorn.htm
